Review: The Better Liar

The Better Liar The Better Liar by Tanen Jones
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The Better Liar by Tanen Jones had a great concept and the cover drew me in. When Leslie goes to hunt for her sister, she finds out Robin is dead. So, Leslie uses Mary as her substitute to inherit the funds from her dad's will. But not everything is as it seems, Told from Mary, Robin's and Leslie's POV. I would have liked to truly get to know Leslie to understand her motivation. The Better Liar had some twists and turns that had me feeling it was unrealistic and others that had me intrigued. But I didn't see that ending coming. Thank you, #Netgalley

Review: Secret Heir Seduction (Mills & Boon Desire)

Secret Heir Seduction (Mills & Boon Desire) Secret Heir Seduction (Mills & Boon Desire) by Reese Ryan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Secret Heir Seduction is the first book I have read in this series and I believe my first by Reese Ryan and I liked it. Darius learns of his true parentage the same day he learns his ex, Audra, is in town to design jewelry for his sister's wedding. The chemistry between the two characters is evident from the beginning of the story. This is a second-chance for them since their relationship ended five years ago. The reasons why they walked away could have been cleared up with proper communication, but Darius and Audra are now mature enough to tackle their problems. There was a brief point where the author delved into two other characters relationship, which confused me but I do realize this is part of a series.
Overall, I look forward to reading more in this series and more from this author. Thank you #Netgalley

Review: Lady Clementine

Lady Clementine Lady Clementine by Marie Benedict
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lady Clementine is a fictional account of the woman who stood next to Winston Churchill. This was my first but not my last read by Marie Benedict. Told in first person, I loved the honesty of the character created and the sacrifices she made to stand by her husband. Yet, she was not afraid to admit her flaws. I love reading a book that empowers women but that makes you feel as if you are living in England during that time period. I finished this read in a couple of days and I loved it. Thank you #NetGalley #LadyClementine
