What can I say? I love a book about twins and their unique relationship dynamic. This was a cute, fun read. There were moments I cracked up and I even got a little choked up as well. I loved Charlotte and Gray was such a hero.

Review: Courting Her Prodigal Heart

Courting Her Prodigal Heart Courting Her Prodigal Heart by Mary Davis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love a tale about imperfect people finding a love perfect for them. Eli is a strong hero with a big heart. Dori is the prodigal that returns home but who is constantly looking behind. I enjoyed watching their love blossom and grow. What a different Amish tale.

Review: Her Festive Flirtation

Her Festive Flirtation Her Festive Flirtation by Therese Beharrie
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I loved the cover and the premise for the story. Ava was jilted at the altar and now has to walk down the aisle again as a bridesmaid. She is battling with her own demons from the past while helping her brother celebrate. Noah has issues from the past that he needs to resolve. I enjoyed their chemistry. A few points in the story were unclear to me but overall a sweet read.

The Marriage Bargain (Mills & Boon Love Inspired) The Marriage Bargain (Mills & Boon Love Inspired) by Stephanie Dees
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

From beginning to end, the character development of Jules and Cam drew me into the story. I had moments that had me laughing and others that had me feeling emotional. I really enjoyed this story and finished in hours. I loved the themes of family, faith, and love that resonated and brought warm feelings to my heart. Love is powerful.
Memorable Quote:
"She liked everything to be perfect and she wasn't comfortable with a mess, even if she knew logically the mess was the way to something better. And come to think of it, that sounded like a great metaphor for her life these days..."

When Dante meets Aislin, life as he knew it, changed. And, for the better. Their passion and their character development made me rooting for their happy-ever-after. I enjoyed this story and read it in hours.

Her One Mistake is told from two women's point of view. Charlotte and Harriet. In a suspenseful tale of a child abduction, we wonder, how did Alice disappear without a trace from a playground. Both women blame themselves and as the story unfolds we realize nothing is as it seems. Thank you, Netgalley.

Review: A Brand New Ending

A Brand New Ending A Brand New Ending by Jennifer Probst
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jennifer Probst delivered a really good read. This is the first book I have read in this series. Kyle is Hollywood screenwriter who lost himself in trying to please the Hollywood big wigs. He decides to return to his hometown and his lifelong love, Olivia. He also returns to face past pains and hurt in hopes of a better future.
Kyle and Olivia's characters went through a lot of growing curves and you could see the strong development.
I loved their romance and of course their journey back to A Brand New Ending.

I enjoyed Kiara and Trey's love story. Sometimes you meet a person and the connection is so intense that you don't question, you just know. Sherelle Green developed an intense read with strong, memorable characters that had me engaged until the very end.

Review: The Night Olivia Fell

The Night Olivia Fell The Night Olivia Fell by Christina McDonald
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Night Olivia Fell kept me engaged and reading. It was great to get both characters perspectives and learn their stories. I really enjoyed everything about this book - the title, the blurb, and the story. There were moments were I got teary-eyed. There were so many quotes that resonated with me as well. Some good takeaways while being entertained.

Memorable quotes: "You don't have to be right one hundred percent of the time to show you love someone. And she doesn't have to be perfect to be well-loved."
"Family, I realized, was like a box of puzzle pieces. They filled all the holes of your life with little pieces that all together made you whole."
"Trust, I'd learned, was the greatest gift you could give, the greatest gift to receive. The belief that a person wouldn't betray you required a strength and confidence I was only just finding."
"Look to the future and you won't stumble on the present."

For more, you will have to read the book! Thank you Netgalley. Highly Recommend!

Review: Mistress for Hire

Mistress for Hire Mistress for Hire by Niobia Bryant
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

All I can say is, this book had my mouth hanging open because of the antics of the main character, Jessa Bell. She lives up to the name Jezebel in so many ways.... One lesson is how the trauma a child faces can impact them for the rest of their lives. Innocence lost can have serious repercussions. Thank you Netgalley.

This story had me on edge. Jordan and Abby are in love but Jordan has associates who want to see him succeed. I loved how the author made sure you understood each character and their actions even if you didn't like what they did. Plato intrigued me the most and I would love to learn more about him. Thank you Netgalley for this intense read.

I have read the other two books in the series and I was glad to catch up on the characters. Jasmine and Cameron's story was like a real-life romance. At times the descriptions slowed down the pacing. I love the happy-ever-after but there wasn't a lot of conflict. I am looking forward to the other two books in the series. Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

Review: The Outside Child

The Outside Child The Outside Child by Tiffany L Warren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If I could sum up this book in one word, it would be Wow. Tiffany Warren has navigated outside the Christian fiction genre with a very different and entertaining tale of marriage, love and forgiveness. The Outside Child is a slow build with strong, relatable, if not always likeable, lol, characters with a genuine love for each other. All I can say is that The Outside Child was not what I expected but it had some powerful elements and themes that had me gobbling up this read in hours.

Compelling Quote: "Being in love like this meant giving away all power. It meant putting your heart in the palm of another person's hand and hoping they didn't squeeze too tightly."

Thank you, Netgalley.

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

While it didn't take me long to read, I found Sister of Mine to be an okay read. I don't know if it was the writing style or the flow of the story. I didn't like the second storyline involving the son and I wish the author had went there with the sisters. Go all the way to the edge.

I really enjoyed the second book of the Seven Deadly Sins series. I have been a VCM fan for years and as usual she does not disappoint. I read this on an airplane ride. Review: Better Late Than Never

Better Late Than Never Better Late Than Never by Kimberla Lawson Roby
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been with Curtis Black from the beginning until now. What a way to conclude his story by going back to the very beginning. Curtis came full circle. After all his experiences, he himself had to learn the power of forgiveness. Forgiving yourself and others frees you. However, this wasn't just Curtis' story. Charlotte's storyline showed what happens when we ignore our feelings and truth and try to live a lie. Eventually, truth prevails. Kimberla Lawson Roby gave us a fitting end filled with some unbelievable events from an unexpected character. Better Late Than Never has all the ingredients for a powerful read with lasting impressions.
