I can easily say I have never read a story like The Marriage Pact. That's big because I read a lot. The Marriage Pact is like the Stepford Wives taken to the umpteenth power. What a twisty over-the-top read. I really couldn't begin to imagine what was happening. It was weirdly good but a bit much at times. I really didn't know what to expect and while I can't say I completely understand all the experiences Alice and Jake faced, I stayed up late reading trying to weave through this convoluted tale until the very end.
